Hello everyone,
A lot of people inquire about how to properly exercise during the Holy month of Ramadan. It is a sensitive issue surrounded by a lot of misconception; therefore, I decided to shed light on this issue today.
During the Holy month of Ramadan, you can still train and achieve your weight loss goals while sticking to healthy eating and proper nutrition. But when to excersice? That is a very important question.
Never train early in the morning during Ramadan when you are only going to eat at 6:30 pm. The long period between your training and break-fast will dehydrate you to some level and torture you. A 5% decrease in your body’s water needs would decrease 10% of your blood thickness, which leads to headaches, dizziness, and all sort of pain. Therefore, you have to be cautious on picking the right time to exercise in Ramadan.
The best excercise you can do is to have a long walk right before Fotor time (preferably an hour before it is time to eat).
Enjoy it and Happy Ramadan to everyone.
Kind regards, and stay strong

Doing exercise just right before Fotor is a bad idea, your body is dehydrated for almost 12 hours and by doing so you putting so much stress on it!!

Hello Musa,
Thank you for viewing your point of view.
However, our bodies does not get dehydrated so easily, it takes a ‘Month’ of not drinking enough water to actually make you dehydrated.
You are right, doing exercise before fotor is not very practical, but having a walk will actually help you burn fat faster and easier (Scientifically proven, and addressed byDr.Abdullah Al-Mutawa’a.PhD).
Simply, because your body will have no sugar or food in your stomach, so it will target the fat immediately. therefore, we conclude that training before fotor is an amazing way to burn the fat.

Thats pretty good info there, I train at about 4 or 4;30 for an hour before actually having Fotor and to be honest I always wanted to know if its good or not.
Thnx

The direct fat burning tip I heard on marina FM made me more eager to exercise before fu6oor “I think its Dr. Abdullah Almutawa? am bad with remembering names :p). Started off with 30min walking 15 other machines, now the questions:
- exercising 2 hours before fu6oor is still ok?

Yes, it was Dr.Abdullah on Marina FM that stated this fact.
Exercising two hours, or one hour before fotor is not a big issue really. At the end, it depends on each person, nd it mainly depends on your ‘Hydration level’ through out the past month.
Meaning; if you are always well hydrated through out the month, then Ramadan comes, you will not suffer dehydration, because your body has already a large amount of water storage and is very well-hydrated.
For some people, first day of Ramadan is enough to cause them suffering due to lack of well-hydration before.
It depends.

I am perfectly in shape but I suffer from hypotension (low BP) sometimes. I eat extremely healthy (mildly on macrobiotics) and work out to keep fit but also to avoid some health issues that I have; would you still recommend that I work out an hour before Futoor?
I am not interested in burning fat as much as I am interested in cardio for blood circulation and general well being.

Hi,
I will say you test your ability in doing so. A major part of fitness training is knowing how your body will react to different situations and conditions of exercises.
Take a 30 minutes walk before fotor, and test if the empty stomach will stimulate the issue of hypotension.
Also, look for stimulators of the symptoms of BP, for example in an orthostatic hypotension case’. which is dizziness caused due to low blood to the brain. Usually happens when the head goes lower than heart level, in some exercises postures.
we conclude that in some situations we can alter our workouts to suit our medical status, it is always possible.
