RunKuwait, a first of its kind in Kuwait, is a 240 K self-sufficiency run with 6 participating runners.
Yousef Al Qanai, Runner and Founder of Aymstrong came up with the idea of this event and decided to run the 240 K as an effort to promote the Aymstrong message of empowerment by creating a sense of determination, and unity within our society and amongst Kuwait’s youth.
The run will take place in Kuwait’s National Days on the 25th/26th of February 2012 across Kuwait from its northern to southern borders, and will take an average estimated time of 50 hours to complete. It will be a continuous run with the exception of stopping at Kuwait towers for media coverage and certain rest points throughout the day for personal needs; and autonomic in nature, requiring the runners to be self-equipped for the entire duration of the run.

Wish you the best guys, make us proud

Mashael, thank you for showing your support as always.
OFCOURSE YOU CAN DO THE 10 K , no need to run it all, walk half of it and do half of it. Sometimes it is important to just finish the distance :). i will be expecting you there at Kuwait Tower.

Hello Kawthar,
It will bea mix of jogging, running, and walking.
Yes you can jog,run 200 KM if you train well for it.
Breaks will be for everyone
And no it is not segregated, it will only be ONE group, 5 runners.
I will be happy if a woman joins and finish this challenge. But you have to be selected amongst a lot of other interested runners. There is a qualification process for it as well. For example, finishing a 50 K Jog/Walk/Run, with us the team on certain dates.

You can’t imagine how excited I was to read about Kuwait Marathon 2012,,,, It is my dream to do that,,, and i was talking about it to all my friend and everyone thought I was crazy and un-realistic.
This dream came alive two years back when i got a severe back injury and had to go through two back surgery.. the first one put me in wheel chair… and the second one saved me…. that’s when I started telling my self I wanna jog or even walk from North to South of Kuwait as a challenge to my self that I made it and am back…
I commend you guys for your hard work and superior thinking of doing of what your doing…. God Bless you… Your are admired and have all the support.
